We firmly believe that the difference, in addition to technology, tradition and innovation, is made by people.

Rekord’s sustainable choice
Rekord is committed to reducing its environmental impact through the use of renewable energy and sustainable practices in production. Our factories are completely powered by renewable sources: 80 percent of energy is generated by installed photovoltaic panels, while the remaining 20 percent comes from green-certified suppliers. This allows us to significantly reduce our carbon footprint, demonstrating our commitment to operations that not only respect the environment but actively contribute to its preservation.
In our journey toward sustainability, we pay attention to all aspects of production, including the materials used and packaging solutions. We choose hides from the food industry, thus supporting the circular economy and responsible use of resources. This choice reduces waste and ensures environmentally friendly production processes without compromising product quality or durability.
This approach not only reflects our corporate philosophy but also strengthens our relationships with partners and customers, aiming to make products that not only meet needs but also contribute to a more sustainable future.

Rekord consists of three factories, which strengthen the annual production capacity and bear witness to the company‘s dedication to maintaining high quality and ethical standards.
Each site contributes its uniqueness to the production of footwear that stands for excellence, comfort and durability, meeting the needs of an increasingly demanding global market.
Alba Iulia: the heart of production
The Alba Iulia site, opened in 1994 as Play Sport SRL’s first production facility and now an integral part of the MGM Group, represents the largest plant in our network. This site stands out not only for its production scale, but also for its commitment to high quality standards and social responsibility, as demonstrated by ISO 9001:2015 and SA8000:2014 certifications.
These certifications qualify the Alba Iulia site as a model of manufacturing and ethical excellence, laying the foundation for production that meets rigorous standards of quality and social responsibility.
With an unwavering commitment to continuous improvements, Alba Iulia demonstrates how production practices can be seamlessly integrated with an ongoing focus on optimal working conditions, civil rights, and worker empowerment.
Teius: Technology and Sustainability
Teius was opened in 2001 and, like its counterparts, holds ISO 9001:2015 certification. This site was designed with a strong emphasis on technology and energy efficiency, representing our commitment to a sustainable, cutting-edge future in the footwear industry.
In fact, Teius has a power of 300 kwp with a total of 654 photovoltaic panels for a total area of 1472 square meters.
Zlatna: innovation and quality
Established in 2004, the Zlatna plant is the third production hub that has contributed significantly to Rekord’s growth.
Like Alba Iulia and Teius, Zlatna also boasts ISO 9001:2015 certification, ensuring that all production processes meet strict standards for quality and information security, thus ensuring excellent and reliable products.
